Good to see some actual tangible use cases as at the moment the idea everyone will just want control over their identity vs not having control I think is flawed (and seems very western centric). Most people are happy to trust institutions, if the majority was not then Bitcoin etc would all have mainstream adoption by now.
I agree! You could make the argument that with BTC most of that lack of uptake is barriers to entry as well as volatility/practicality. If there was a simple wallet with a stablecoin, that was accepted everywhere? (Oh no thatβs a CBDC π) The low hanging fruit for SSI is in healthcare where everyoneβs incentives are aligned for decentralisation - less data breaches and liability. Other sectors a bit more complex, if there is money to be gained in centralisation then it will always be marketed as the βsimpleβ option (just trust us) and plenty of people that will be happy to save their mental bandwidth for something else.
